What are we doing?

Day 26 Oban

We moved as soon as we woke up and got a fantastic berth inside the breakwater. It was lucky we did because within two hours boats started to arrive and there would have been no chance that we would have got in otherwise. What we didn't realise is that the pontoons are so substantial that if you are inside you are really protected from wash of the ferries and other boats, but outside… you need fenders.

Linda decided that now was the time to test drive her shopping trolley and boy, did she put it to good use, Tesco's will be paying out bumper dividends!

The propeller did not arrive, so I took the executive decision to order one on an over night from Lymington. I can't wait any longer for the local dealer, as he was unable to confirm a definite date, it costs £50 a day to be tied up in Oban so time is money.

Later we went out for a bite to eat and were lucky to get a place in a lovely restaurant called "Coast".
