Castellón de la Plana - Ibiza

Yesterday, we took advantage of our diversion to explore Castellón de la Plana, on the basis that we are unlikely to pass this way again it is an opportunity we should not miss and we didn't.

I started the day with a trip to the phone shop to get a new sim for the boat wifi whilst Linda and Jane found a cafe to get a coffee or beverage… I am not saying which. When I emerged with a new sim and a big smile I joined them. We soon found ourselves in a local market where Linda bought a summer dress from a market stall (Untried) and we found a local park. Later we tried to go to a recommended restaurant and found it was closed for re-furbishment so instead we sat outside a cafe next to a historic church but sadly we did not choose wisely and we were luck not to be ill afterwards. Later we returned to the boat and had drinks and food in the cockpit and it was lovely.

The next morning we set off to Ibiza, we headed straight to Cala d'Hort, this is a lovely anchorage that Linda and I had visited before the wedding so we knew exactly where we were going. We stayed two nights. Linda managed to buy a new bikini which is now her favourite and we ate at the same restaurant that Linda and I had visited on our last say.

The next day we headed off to Cala Xarraca which is a fantastic bay from which we can jump off to Majorca. We had not planned to leave Ibiza so early but we either have to go tomorrow or wait four days for some weather to pass through so tomorrow it is. We visited the beach cafe and had some more of their fantastic sangria, the best we have had in Spain.
