Day 57 A day off

Richard left at 5am to get an early flight. His taxi arrived on time and he was gone. I hope he had a nice time.

At 9am the riggers arrived and so Linda and I had to start removing the battens at 8am so that the sail could come off. We didn't want to remove the sail as it is a huge task to put it back on again. The riggers however said that it would not be possible to fix the problem with the rig under load so it needed to be removed. When they arrived he looked at is and said he thought he cold do it without removing the sail and went to work. An hours later our rig was fixed and I was €240 poorer. I can't complain too much as he came straight away and changed his schedule to help us.

Linda's leg was giving her a lot of pain so we split up so that I could go to the other end of the town, almost immediatly the heavens opened up with torrential rain.

We both sheltered in shop fronts and eventually it abated and I went into the most beautiful but really simple church. I was really impressed by the size of its organ and wished I could have heard it.

  • Stunning
  • This is the best looking organ I have ever seen. Linda says she has seen better!
