What are we doing?

Dartmouth Day 2

As far as locations go it doesn't get much better than this right in front of the town quay. Stuart from Gas Safe Marine arrived at 8am and fixed the fridge, he found a couple of lose joints and re-gassed the fridge and it is now getting very cold. One of the consequences of the fridge not getting cold was the compressors were in over drive last night and had run the batteries low, so I thought I would put the generator on whilst we go shopping… after 2 minutes it shut it self down hmm. I looked up the error it said not cooling water. That simply is not possible as it has just been serviced and had a new impeller fitted and the water intake can't be blocked because we have two intakes that supply a master manifold, it could only be the sensor.

It could only be one thing the sensor, our generator has a raw water sensor that will shut down the generator if there is no water top protect it but if the sensor is faulty it will shut it down. So I spent the next hour Googling and calling to find someone with one in stock. Luckily I have one being overnighted and tomorrow I will find out if I was correct in the mean time we will have to make do.

Later Susan and Andrew arrived by dinghy and a raucous evening was enjoyed in the middle of the river (Socially distancing of course).

  • This is the likely culprit
  • Isn't she lovely
  • New decals on the stern of the boat. I love them.
  • Susan, andrew and Linda.
